Watt a Boxes are given to the lucky people who get selected through KFC India\u2019s Facebook Page contest.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1660 size-full\" src=\"\/restaurant-times\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/KFC-WATT-A-BOX.jpg\" alt=\"KFC\u2019s Watt A Box Charges Your Phone While You Eat Marketing campaign\" width=\"425\" height=\"415\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We launched the 5-in-1 Meal Box in March this year with the objective of providing an abundant complete meal and at an affordable price for our customers. With the launch of Watt a Box, we have gone a step ahead and also introduced an element of utility into the box. Each one of us spends a considerable time on our smartphones daily, and the phone battery going dead is almost like a nightmare! No longer is that the case, with the Watt a Box around&#8221;. Said Lluis Ribot, CMO KFC India.<\/p>\n<p>This type of a marketing campaign has also been used in the past by companies like McDonald&#8217;s when they launched Happy Meal boxes in Sweden which could be converted into Cardboard VR headsets, and when Pizza Hut launched a limited edition box in Hong Kong that could be converted into a pseudo-movie projector.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, KFC had partnered with the local <em>Dabbawallas <\/em>in Mumbai as a marketing strategy.
